Welcome to the Central Bedfordshire Children's Homes Procedures Manual

Central Bedfordshire Council Children’s homes provide support and care for the most vulnerable children and young people so it is important to have procedures, policies and guidance which safeguard and promote wellbeing for the young people in our care. The homes cover a wide remit including; short breaks, long-term residential care for children with disabilities and children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Because of this, the procedures on this website are supported by local policies that serve the interests of residents most appropriately at each home.

These procedures were updated in March 2025 and replaces all previous versions of the Procedures.

Please see 'Using this Manual' for details about the way this manual works.
